Which Jewelry Suits You? A Style Guide for Every Look
Gold-tone or silver-tone: which suits you?
Take a look at the undertone of your skin. If the veins on the inside of your wrist look mostly green, you have a warm undertone and gold-tone jewelry will usually suit you best. If your veins look blue or purple, you have a cool undertone and silver-tone is a beautiful match. Could you go either way? Then you have a neutral undertone and you can happily mix.
Mixing and matching (gold-tone and silver-tone together) is very much of the moment, by the way — don't be afraid to combine.
Combining jewelry: the basic rules
- Choose one eye-catcher. If you're wearing bold statement earrings, keep your necklace subtle (and the other way around).
- Stack in odd numbers. Two or three bracelets or rings together looks more natural than an even number.
- Layer your necklaces in different lengths for depth.
- Repeat a shape or theme (hearts or natural stone, for example) for a cohesive look.
