Last-Minute Christmas Gift: How Late Can You Order?
It is the middle of December, you still have two people on your list and you have no idea what ring size they wear. Sound familiar? The good news: last-minute does not have to mean buying something you do not really believe in. There is a whole category of jewelry that always fits — adjustable, one size, or simply size-free — and with us it ships already in a gift box. In this article you first work out how late you can order, and then you pick something good.

We will start with the dull but most important part: the date. Because a beautiful gift that arrives on 27 December is not really a gift any more. Below you will find the math for orders inside the EU and for orders going outside it.
How late can you order inside the EU?
Inside the EU, delivery takes 3 to 7 working days. Order before 15:00 CET on a working day and we ship the same day. Shipping costs EUR 3.95 and is free from EUR 75.
Christmas Eve falls on Thursday 24 December in 2026, Christmas Day on Friday 25 December. And in a lot of European countries — Germany among them, where the evening is called Heiligabend — the gifts are opened on the 24th rather than on Christmas morning. So aim to have the parcel in the house by Wednesday 23 December. Work backwards from there and you get this:
Comfortably on time: order by Monday 14 December before 15:00 CET. Even at the full seven working days, the parcel lands on Wednesday the 23rd.
Last realistic moment: Wednesday 16 December before 15:00 CET. At five working days it still arrives on the 23rd.
A gamble: Friday 18 December. That only works if delivery runs at the fast end of the three to seven working days, and the carrier is busier than usual around the holidays. We cannot promise that.
Our advice: treat Wednesday 16 December as your real deadline and order a few days earlier if you can. That also leaves you room if something goes wrong.
Adjustable rings: the safest gift when you do not know the size
A ring is one of the loveliest things to give and one of the scariest to buy — you simply do not know the size. An adjustable ring solves that in one go. The band opens at the back, so you gently bend it a little wider or a little narrower until it sits comfortably. No size chart, no fuss, and no awkward moment under the tree.
For a gift, that makes an enormous difference. The Quincy Initial Ring is a good example: you choose the letter of the person receiving it, and the size sorts itself out. If you want something quieter, the Elia is a lovely minimalist ring you can wear every day. You will find more options in the adjustable rings collection.

Earrings: the gift where size never comes into it
If you really do not want to take a risk, earrings are the simplest choice there is. There is no such thing as the wrong size. The only thing you need to know is whether someone has pierced ears — and if not, there are ear cuffs that simply clip onto the edge of the ear.
For a gift, two directions work well. Small stud earrings someone can leave in every single day, like the Max Ball Stud Earrings or the Nikki Cubic Zirconia Studs. Or a pair of hoop earrings that finishes an outfit straight away, like the Emmy Hoops. Not sure which style someone wears? Take a quick look at what is in their ears right now — that almost always gives the preference away. Our guide to types of earrings explains the difference between all the models.
Earrings with no size worries
One-size bracelets: around the wrist and done
Bracelets are the third category where size does not get in your way. A chain bracelet with an extender fits almost any wrist, and a stretch beaded bracelet simply slides over the hand. Nothing to measure and nothing to ask.
The Alice bracelet with interlocking hearts is one of our most-gifted pieces and stays comfortably under EUR 25. Looking for something for a man? The Sven Stretch Chain Bracelet is one size and slides straight on. Have a look at our Christmas gifts for men too if you still have someone on the list.

Ordering from outside the EU? Aim for the first week of December
If your parcel is going outside the EU, the math changes on two points. First, delivery takes longer: 5 to 14 working days. Second, a parcel can sit at customs for a few days, and that part is out of everyone's hands.
Assume the longest delivery time and aim for the parcel to be there on Wednesday 23 December, and you land on Thursday 3 December before 15:00 CET as your safe order date. Order on Wednesday 9 December and ten working days still gets you there. Friday 11 December only works if everything runs at the fast end of the five to fourteen working days, and around the holidays we cannot promise that — the carrier is simply busier.
Jewelry ships worldwide. Shipping costs EUR 3.95 and is free from EUR 75.

These pieces are well stocked
When you order last-minute, the last thing you want is for something to sell out while you are still deciding. We hold plenty of stock of the pieces below, so we can almost certainly ship them the same day. If you are in a hurry, choose from these.
The Melia necklace at 50 cm (19.7 inch) is a safe choice for someone you do not know well: minimalist, gold-tone and never too much. If you want something more personal, the Grace birthstone studs are a lovely way to give something of the person themselves without names or engraving.

Gift-ready out of the box
The second thing that makes last-minute gifts fall apart is the wrapping. You get the jewelry in on time and then find yourself at eleven at night on 23 December with a roll of paper and not enough tape.
You do not have to think about that here: every piece of jewelry comes in a luxury Lundholm gift box. You take the gift box out of the shipping box, put it under the tree, and that is it. Handy when you are covering several people at once, and handy when the gift still has to travel to a birthday or a Christmas dinner.
Still deciding who gets what? We have separate guides for a Christmas gift for your girlfriend, for your mother or sister and for men. Still need something for a Secret Santa? And if you have ever been late for Sinterklaas, the Dutch gift-giving celebration on 5 December, you will know exactly why we keep going on about dates.

When do I need to order by for Christmas inside the EU?
Treat Wednesday 16 December 2026 before 15:00 CET as the last realistic moment. Inside the EU delivery takes 3 to 7 working days, and orders placed before 15:00 CET on a working day ship the same day. Order on Monday 14 December and you are comfortably safe. The carrier is busier around the holidays, so ordering earlier is always the wiser move.
When do I need to order for delivery outside the EU?
Delivery outside the EU takes 5 to 14 working days, and customs can add a few days on top. Order by Thursday 3 December 2026 before 15:00 CET and your parcel is there by 23 December even at the longest delivery time — well before Christmas Eve on Thursday 24 December. Wednesday 9 December usually still works. We cannot guarantee an arrival date around the holidays.
Which jewelry is safest when I do not know the size?
Earrings are the safest, because there is no size involved at all. After that come adjustable rings, which you bend a little wider or narrower at the open back, and one-size bracelets with an extender chain or elastic. With those three categories you run almost no risk of a gift that does not fit.
What does shipping cost and when is it free?
Shipping costs EUR 3.95 and is free from EUR 75. Jewelry ships worldwide: 3 to 7 working days inside the EU and 5 to 14 working days outside it.
Do I still need to wrap the gift myself?
No. Every Lundholm piece comes in a luxury gift box. You take it out of the shipping box and it is ready to give — no need to hunt for wrapping paper.
How do I know whether something is really in stock?
Every product page shows whether an item can be ordered. We hold plenty of stock of the pieces in this article, such as the Emmy hoops, the Quincy initial ring and the Alice bracelet. On working days we can almost always ship those the same day if you order before 15:00 CET.
Last-minute does not mean settling. Choose something without a size, order in time using the dates above and leave the wrapping to us. Browse all rings, all earrings or all bracelets and tick that last name off your list.
