Condor Hand Luggage 2026: Sizes, Weight and the Best Cabin Bag
Traveling with Condor? It pays to know the hand luggage rules, because with Condor what you can bring for free depends on your fare. Here is the complete Condor hand luggage 2026 overview — the free small item, the cabin baggage, the weight limits and the costs — plus which bag to choose.
Condor hand luggage 2026: what can you bring?
With Condor, everyone gets one small personal item. Larger cabin baggage (in the overhead bin) is included from the Economy Light fare upward, but not on the cheapest Economy Zero fare. The rules (as of 2026):
| Type | Maximum size | Weight | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small personal item (under the seat) | 40 x 30 x 15 cm | — | Free on every fare |
| Cabin baggage (overhead bin) | 55 x 40 x 23 cm | max. 8 kg (Economy) | Included from Economy Light; for a fee on Economy Zero |
| Checked baggage | varies | up to 23 kg+ | For a fee / depending on fare |
Correct as of June 2026. Condor can change its policy — always check the current rules in your booking.
Watch out: the free item is small (40 x 30 x 15 cm)
Condor's free personal item is deliberately small: 40 x 30 x 15 cm — enough for a laptop bag or a small shoulder bag, but not for a full travel backpack. If you want to bring a proper carry-on backpack, it falls under cabin baggage (55 x 40 x 23 cm, max 8 kg), which is included from the Economy Light fare and only has to be added on the cheapest Economy Zero fare.
Our Lundholm Underseater (40 x 30 x 16 cm, 22 liters, well under 8 kg when empty) fits comfortably within that 55 x 40 x 23 cm cabin baggage size. Ideal if you fly Condor on a fare that includes hand luggage — or if you add the cabin baggage yourself. One thing to note: for the free mini item (40 x 30 x 15 cm) the Underseater is 1 cm too deep.

Your fare decides your hand luggage
If you book the cheapest Economy Zero, count on only the free small item (40 x 30 x 15 cm); a cabin bag costs extra. Turning up at the gate with an unannounced cabin bag risks a steep fee (€75–€100). From Economy Light upward the cabin baggage (8 kg) is included — so you travel with the Underseater at no extra cost. Condor weighs hand luggage regularly, so stay under 8 kg.
Frequently asked questions about Condor hand luggage 2026
What hand luggage is free with Condor?
Everyone can bring one small personal item of up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm free of charge. Larger cabin baggage (55 x 40 x 23 cm, 8 kg) is included from Economy Light; only on the cheapest Economy Zero fare does it cost extra.
How much can hand luggage weigh with Condor?
In Economy the cabin baggage may weigh up to 8 kg (Premium Economy 10 kg, Business more). Condor weighs bags regularly at the check-in desk and sometimes at the gate.
Do I get hand luggage on Economy Zero?
On the cheapest Economy Zero fare you only get the free small item (40 x 30 x 15 cm). A cabin bag for the overhead bin has to be booked in advance; if you skip that and show up with one at the gate, you pay a steep gate fee.
Does the Lundholm Underseater fit Condor?
The Underseater (40 x 30 x 16 cm) fits comfortably within the 55 x 40 x 23 cm cabin baggage size (8 kg), included from Economy Light or available to add. For the free mini item (40 x 30 x 15 cm) it is 1 cm too deep — so pick a fare that includes cabin baggage.
What does cabin baggage cost on Condor Economy Zero?
The price varies by route and by when you book; adding it in advance is always cheaper than a gate fee (which can run to €75–€100).
