TUI fly Hand Luggage 2026: Sizes, Weight and the Best Bag
Booking a holiday or a flight-only ticket with TUI fly? The hand luggage rules changed in 2026, and it now matters whether you book a flight-only ticket or a package holiday. Here is the complete TUI fly hand luggage 2026 overview — sizes, weight and costs — plus the best bag to travel with for free.
TUI fly hand luggage 2026: what can you bring?
Since 1 May 2026, a flight-only ticket comes with just one free small bag; the larger carry-on has to be booked separately. On a package holiday (hotel + flight) both pieces stay included. The rules (as of 2026):
| Type | Maximum size | Weight | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small bag (under the seat) | 40 x 30 x 20 cm | — | Free with every ticket |
| Large carry-on (overhead bin) | 55 x 40 x 20 cm | max. 10 kg | Flight-only: book separately · Package holiday: included |
| Checked baggage | varies | up to 20–23 kg | For a fee / per package |
Correct as of June 2026. Booked before 30 March 2026, or departing before 1 May 2026? Then the old rules often still apply. Always check your own booking.
The free bag: 40 x 30 x 20 cm
The free small bag may measure up to 40 x 30 x 20 cm and goes under the seat in front of you. That is enough for a weekend or a short vacation — as long as your bag uses that space cleverly. Our Lundholm Underseater (40 x 30 x 16 cm, 22 liters) fits inside that limit, opens like a suitcase and has a padded 15.6" laptop compartment, a TSA lock and waterproof material.

Flight-only or package holiday?
On a flight-only ticket, only the small bag (40 x 30 x 20 cm) is free; the large carry-on (55 x 40 x 20 cm, 10 kg) is booked separately for a fee. On a package holiday (hotel + flight) both pieces stay included, even after 1 May 2026. For a short trip with hand luggage only, the free small bag is often enough as long as you pick a roomy underseater.
