Natural stone jewellery: every stone is unique

A natural stone is formed in nature, not in a factory. That's why every stone has its own colour, pattern and lustre. Two rings of the same design look alike, but they are never exactly the same. That's what makes natural stone jewellery so personal. At Lundholm we pair the stones with calm Scandinavian design: delicate studs, pendant necklaces, adjustable statement rings and rugged beaded bracelets for him.

Which natural stones can you find at Lundholm?

Tiger's eye

Tiger's eye is golden brown with darker bands. The stone has a silky sheen that shifts as the light catches it. The Elodie necklace has an oval tiger's eye pendant, and the Sunniva is a statement ring with a large oval stone. Prefer something small? The Novi studs also come in tiger's eye.

Rose quartz

Rose quartz is soft pink and slightly milky. A calm colour that looks lovely with gold and with silver. Choose the Rosan necklace with a rose quartz pendant in gold tone or silver tone, or the Zoleste ring with a large rose quartz.

Amethyst

Amethyst is a purple quartz, from pale lilac to deep violet. You will often see several shades of purple in one stone. The Ella amethyst ring and the Rosan necklace with amethyst are both gold tone, with the stone as the eye-catcher.

Lapis lazuli

Lapis lazuli is a deep royal blue, often with tiny gold-coloured flecks and light veins. Wear it as the Ella lapis lazuli ring or as small studs: the Novi also come in lapis lazuli.

Moonstone

Moonstone has a soft glow that seems to move as you turn your hand. White moonstone is milky white, while peach moonstone has a warm peachy tone. Choose the Ella with white moonstone or the Ella with peach moonstone.

Agate

Agate comes in many colours, often with fine layers or bands in the stone. The Sophia ring with green agate is fresh and striking. The silver-tone Elvira ring comes with black agate, but also with amethyst, lapis lazuli, tiger's eye or aventurine. For him, there's the Odin bracelet with matte black agate beads.

Aventurine

Green aventurine ranges from soft to deep green. In the light you can sometimes see a fine shimmer in the stone. The Rosan necklace with green aventurine comes in gold tone and in silver tone.

Amazonite

Amazonite is turquoise green with light veins. A fresh colour that stands out beautifully against gold. Take a look at the Ella amazonite ring or the Sophia ring with amazonite.

Onyx

Black onyx is an even, deep black with a lovely shine. Clean, timeless and easy to combine. The Ella black onyx ring sets the black stone in a gold-tone setting.

Obsidian

Obsidian is a natural stone of volcanic origin. Mahogany obsidian is reddish brown with black flames, while snowflake obsidian is black with white spots. The Mabel hoops come with a mahogany obsidian pendant. For him, there's the Björn bracelet with snowflake obsidian and the Olav bracelet with obsidian and lava stone.

Jasper

Jasper often has a striking pattern. Dalmatian jasper is cream with black spots; you'll find it on the Mabel hoops. Map jasper (map stone) has grey markings that look like a map, as on the Vegard bracelet. The Njord bracelet has ocean stone beads in green, brown and grey.

Lava stone

Lava stone is matte black and slightly porous, with a rough, natural texture. It suits a rugged look perfectly. Choose the Eirik with 8 mm beads, the finer Emil with 6 mm beads, or the Arvid with braided faux leather and lava stone.

What is natural stone jewellery made of?

The settings, chains and earrings are made of premium stainless steel in gold or silver tone. The gold-tone pieces have a PVD coating that keeps its colour with normal wear. The beaded bracelets for him are elasticated or combine the stones with faux leather. Natural stone is less tough than steel. Amethyst, rose quartz, tiger's eye, aventurine and agate are fairly hard. Lapis lazuli, moonstone, amazonite and obsidian are a little softer and scratch more easily. So take off your natural stone jewellery before you shower, swim or work out. That keeps the stone looking its best.

How do you care for natural stone jewellery?

Natural stone doesn't like perfume, body lotion or cleaning products. Put your jewellery on once you've finished your beauty routine. Wipe the stone and setting now and then with a soft, dry cloth. Store each piece separately in its pouch, so the stones don't rub against other jewellery. Don't leave your jewellery in strong sunlight for long either: over time, amethyst and rose quartz can become a little paler.

How to style natural stone jewellery

Pick one stone as the eye-catcher and keep the rest simple. A pendant necklace, such as the Rosan or the Elodie, looks lovely with small gold-tone studs. A statement ring with a large stone, such as the Zoleste with purple natural stone, is best worn without other large rings next to it. Mixing colours works too: green, pink and gold go well together, as do black and silver. A delicate ring like the Siv with green natural stone is easy to stack. Lava stone and obsidian suit a rugged, darker outfit. You'll find more rings with a stone in our gemstone rings.

Natural stone jewellery as a gift

A piece of natural stone jewellery is a personal gift. You choose a colour that suits someone, and every stone is unique. Many rings are adjustable, so you don't need to know a ring size. For him, the beaded bracelets with tiger's eye, lava stone or obsidian are a great choice; have a look at our gifts for him too. Every piece ships in luxury gift packaging. When you order from our own webshop, you always get a free gift bag. Not sure yet? The Gift Finder helps you choose with three quick questions. Jewellery ships free to other countries from €75 (Netherlands from €50, Belgium from €60), and you have 14 days to return your order.
