Tiger's eye is a golden-brown natural stone from the quartz family, with a silky sheen that glides across the surface when you tilt it, just like the eye of a tiger. In crystal lore, tiger's eye stands for courage, confidence and focus, and it is seen as a protective stone. When people talk about the 'properties' or 'powers' of tiger's eye, they usually mean that traditional meaning: a lovely story to carry with you, not a medical promise. Sneeuwvlokobsidiaan heeft daarnaast kleine witte vlekjes van het mineraal cristobaliet, die eruitzien als sneeuwvlokjes op een zwarte jas. Obsidiaan staat traditioneel voor bescherming en helderheid: eerlijk naar jezelf kijken. Bij sneeuwvlokobsidiaan komt daar balans bij, het zwart en wit in evenwicht. De Björn is van sneeuwvlokobsidiaan, de Olav combineert obsidiaan met mat lavasteen en goudkleurige accenten. Leuk om te wetenEen gebroken stukje obsidiaan kan scherper zijn dan een stalen scalpel. Daarom maakten mensen er al duizenden jaren messen en pijlpunten van, en de Azteken polijstten obsidiaan zelfs tot spiegels. Björn sneeuwvlokobsidiaan Bekijk → Olav obsidiaan en lavasteen Bekijk → Jaspis: drie stenen met een eigen tekening Jaspis is een ondoorzichtige vorm van kwarts die in bijna alle kleuren en patronen voorkomt. Geen twee kralen zijn hetzelfde, en dat maakt jaspis zo leuk voor een armband. Drie varianten zie je veel bij heren: Kaartjaspis (map stone): richting en stabiliteit Grijs met fijne lijntjes en vlekjes, alsof je naar een landkaart kijkt. In de kralenwereld heet hij ook wel silver leaf jasper. De steen staat voor richting, stabiliteit en innerlijke rust: een mooie steen voor de reiziger of voor iemand die een nieuwe weg inslaat. Kijk maar naar de Vegard. Ocean stone: rust en balans Ocean stone is een naam voor jaspis en agaat in zachte aardetinten: olijfgroen, bruin, grijs en zand. De naam verwijst naar de bekende ocean jasper, een jaspis met rondjes en golfjes die op maar één plek ter wereld voorkomt: aan de kust van Madagaskar, waar je hem alleen bij eb kunt zien. Ocean stone staat voor rust, balans en aarding. De Njord brengt al die aardetinten samen. Afrikaans turkoois: groei en verandering Eerlijk is eerlijk: Afrikaans turkoois is geen turkoois.
